“I love to problem solve and think outside the box to find the source of my client’s pain/dysfunction. I will listen to my client’s needs and actively involve my clients in their rehabilitation. I believe there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach when it comes to musculoskeletal health and wellness”.

DRY NEEDLING.

Dry needling involves the insertion of fine high grade single use mono filament needles (Acupuncture needles) into the skin and underlying tissues.

There are two main skin piercing modalities in Australia, ‘Traditional Chinese Acupuncture’ and ‘Dry Needling,’ which may also be called ‘Western Acupuncture’ or in some countries ‘Western Medical Acupuncture’. Although all Acupuncture (piercing of skin) involves the insertion of similar or the same needles and may feel the same, there are vast differences in philosophy, physiology, point location, training pathways and professional accreditation.

Dry Needling is generally a post graduate short course in Australia, available to many health care practitioners with prerequisite education in anatomy, physiology and safe clinical practice.

Dry needling is used to treat a range of presentations, such as headaches, musculoskeletal pain, sports injuries, to promote healing and to alleviate stress and tension. Dry Needling can also be used for scar tissue healing.

ELECTROTHERAPY

Dolphin Neurostim is now available in clinic. Unlike the alternating currents (AC) used in traditional TENS units, Dolphin Neurostim units use a micro amp, direct current (DC). DC currents are found in nature and are believed to be more aligned to human physiology. Neurostim is very useful in a treatments such as scar tissue healing and chronic pain. Dolphin stim can be either applied to Acupuncture needles or used as a stand alone treatment. Please note that 2 Dolphin stim units are available in clinic as used in the scar tissue treatment protocol.

Consultation Pricing

Missed Appointment/Late Cancellation

As a sole practitioner it can be very challenging to sustain a small business, late cancellations and no shows can significantly impact my earnings. I do understand that things can change at short notice, I always try my best to accommodate alterations or cancellations of appointments. However, as per many other health related services and out of respect for my time, late cancellations of less than 24 hours before your appointment time or failure to attend will be invoiced the full service charge.

Please be aware that I may not see messages sent outside of business hours (very late/early) so please ensure that you follow up ASAP if I have not confirmed your cancellation.

No further appointments can be booked online until outstanding invoices have been paid. Please let me know when you have transferred funds as I may miss your payment.

Thank you for your support and understanding on this matter
